Find studs, metal and live wires

Scan walls, floors and ceilings to locate wood or metal studs, metal objects and live AC wires. Three stud modes offer detection depths of 13mm, 25mm and 38mm, while metal mode detects to 60mm and AC wire mode to 51mm.

Use the scanner to find the edges and centre of a stud before drilling or hanging items. A live-wire warning is available across scan modes to help alert you to nearby AC wiring.

Clear readings and simple operation

The backlit LCD shows the selected mode and detection information, while audible alerts help guide you towards detected objects. Press the scan button to complete the initial setting before use.

The plastic scanner measures 16.1 x 6.8 x 3cm and weighs 140g without the battery. It switches off automatically after 180 seconds and operates from -29°C to +66°C.

What you need to get started

Powered by one 9V battery, which is not included. Suitable for use on materials including veneer and gypsum board.
